Although our sustainability journey is just beginning, Lost Property has already taken significant steps. One of our key efforts is fighting food waste. Through our partnership with Too Good To Go, we prevent food waste by offering surplus food at reduced rates. So far, we have saved hundreds of tonnes of food from ending up in landfill, making a tangible difference in reducing environmental impact.
Sustainability extends to our cocktail offerings as well. At Found Bar and Restaurant, we repurpose fruit that would otherwise go to waste by rehydrating it for use in our signature cocktails. This innovative approach ensures that we serve high-quality drinks while also minimising waste and promoting eco-friendly practices.
Another crucial initiative is our commitment to eco-friendly coffee. In partnership with Cru Café, we provide 100% organic coffee in our rooms. Moreover, our coffee capsules are fully recyclable, ensuring that our guests can enjoy their morning brew with minimal environmental impact.
One of our most exciting sustainability achievements is the introduction of urban beekeeping. Through our partnership with Alvéole, we have installed beehives right in the heart of St Paul’s. Home to 18,000 bees, these hives produce around 100 mini jars of fresh honey per year, giving our guests an authentic and sustainable taste of London.
In the long term, our goal is to continue sourcing fresh, high-quality ingredients in a way that supports both sustainability and exceptional hospitality.
